And you were gone

Ralph and Mark, 1960's

I turned around and you were gone. And as I watched the
world turn cold, I grew old. In a world devoid of you.I never watch the
sun rise  but I see it set. There are so many endings, and no beginnings,
no second chances. I hear my brother call, but I haven’t seen him yet. I
sense he is here,  at times but I know he is gone. To the land of the
dead. The shadows have gotten long. The sadness I feel is always
there.  If only I knew he

was ok, walking down some pathway. Then I
could smile and say goodbye.Till we meet again, Mark, on the other
side.. Written by Joanne
